Green Technology Showcase

Although the media tends to focus on big ideas like renewable energy, cloud computing and low energy datacentres, these are difficult for many businesses to engage with. In response to demand from our Green Card members, Kyocera has brought together some of the leading companies in the environmental office technology sector to showcase practical low-carbon solutions that are more accessible. This free-to-attend event will showcase cutting edge office technologies that cut costs and reduce carbon emissions. Places are limited to 50 delegates, so registration is essential.

Doxense:
In the UK 18% of everything that is printed is thrown away without ever being read. Solaveil: SolaVeil is a carbon reduction and energy efficiency solution that enables commercial buildings to maximise their use of Cool Daylight, a free natural energy source. Occupiers can now enjoy naturally lit, cool, clean and healthy environments in buildings that also demonstrate significantly reduced energy consumption and carbon emissions. SolaVeil increases a building’s natural daylight illumination, reducing the amount of energy required to light and cool buildings by day and also at night. In winter and cooler climate zones, SolaVeil insulates, reducing building heat loss through glass by as much as 30%, reducing building energy consumption and carbon emissions still further.

Kyocera: Kyocera pioneered sustainable office printing in 1992 with the launch of its Ecosys cartridge-free design concept. Instead of replacing everything that’s mechanically clever every time the printer runs out of toner, Kyocera designs those components to last the product’s lifetime so that only toner needs to be regularly replaced. Now on its fifth generation, the Ecosys concept has now been applied to the entire Kyocera range and is supported by an extensive range of software solutions designed to optimise document workflows and reduce unnecessary expense and waste.
